Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q) I have a wonderful idea but I don't have knowledge in Quadrotors. Can I participate?

A) Yes. We will help you in aerodynamic design of Quadrotor. We expect you to have enough skills to complete rest of your challenge (demonstrating the mission, building control board out of junk electronics etc.)

Q) I am not from Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Mechanical Departments. Can I apply?

A) Yes. You can apply provided your team can demonstrate all the skills (except those related to aerodynamic design of Quadrotor) needed to complete your project.

Q) Will AerotriX provide accommodation?

A) No. The participants will have to take care of their boarding and lodging. We will help you in finding suitable accommodation. We will cover all the costs involved in the project.

Q) Will I have to pay anything else? Any hidden costs?

A) No. You are expected to take care of your personal expenses, boarding and lodging. All expenses incurred on the project would be borne by AerotriX.

Q) Will I receive stipend during the project?

A) No.

Q) Will I get a chance to participate in other projects being done by AerotriX?

A) Yes. Along with your project, you will also get opportunities to get involved in other projects being done by AerotriX subject to time constraints.

Q) Do earlier participants of AerotriX workshops have an advantage in selection process?

A) 1) Idea, Innovation and skills are the most important factors.
2) However, if everything else remains same, participants of our ' RC Aircraft Design, Fabrication and Flying' or 'Delta Wing Aircraft Design, Fabrication and Flying' workshops will have a preference simply because we believe they already learnt the skills needed to design and build an air vehicle.

Q) Can I work from my hometown?

A) No. We believe you can get maximum benefit out of this program by interacting with our team. Hence, we require you to come and stay in Bangalore for the entire duration of the project.

Q) Will there be holidays during the project?

A) No specific holidays. This is your project and you are expected to manage your time to complete the project before September 1, 2013. On the other extreme you are free to work 24 X 7.

Q) How can I contact you for other queries?

A) Please write to us at info@aerotrix.com or ring us at 080-28531277
